いうお祭りがあります。「美しき者（頭に箱庭をつけた男女の姿）」「醜くき者（森の木々の姿）」
などに扮した村人たちが村内の各家庭を廻りながらヨーデルを唄い、カウベルを鳴らして
新年の訪れを祝うもの。訪問を受ける側は歌い手達に飲み物（アルコール類）を振舞う。
"Silvesterklausen" is a festival in Appenzell region which takes place on the new and
the old New Year's Eve (31.12 & 13.01). "The Beautiful", "The Ugly" and "The Beautiful-
Ugly" visit each house in the village, wishing for a prosperous new year by yodeling
and ringing their bells. The residents will offer some money and drinks in return.
